We all need support, guidance and encouragement along the way for a variety of topics, issues and situations. At Riverdale Centre, we offer different branches; much like a river may have, to meet the needs of our clients in different areas.
Counselling and therapy are words that can mean so many different things to people. For some the words mean support, comfort, and reassurance. For others, it means problem solving, skill building and resolution. For still others, these words mean little or have negative connotations due to previous experiences or limited understanding of the process and benefits. We offer assessment services for learning difficulties and related skills. This includes attention, behaviour and emotional functioning. This type of assessment is known as psychoeducational assessment. This assessment service is available for children, adolescents and adults.
Parenting is one of the most important jobs any of us can ever have. It is very rewarding, but it is also hard work. Work that does not need to be done alone whatever your circumstances. We offer support and help for parents in a variety of ways.
Riverdale Centre offers support services to clients and their families with regard to learning support. This includes education about learning issues, consultation regarding program development, and ways of coping with difficulties.

Learning Disabilities Association of Canada (LDAC) is the national voice for persons with learning disabilities and those who support them. LDAC is dedicated to a level playing field for individuals with learning disabilities to enable them to function as citizens with equitable opportunities and to develop to their chosen potential. LDAC accomplishes these goals through public awareness about the nature and impact of learning disabilities, advocacy, research, health, education and collaborative efforts.
